Today in Minot | Thursday, May 23, 2024
I don’t always celebrate Thursdays, but when I do, I prefer them nacho average. That’s why today I’ll be at the Blue Rider indulging in their new Nacho Average Thursday tradition. I’ll arrive unfashionably late of course, stroll in with my trademark nonchalance, grab a plate of nachos and a stiff drink, and let the conversations find me.
Speaking of finding things, if you’re lucky enough to cross paths with me, you may notice a penny in my breast pocket. For it is also National Lucky Penny Day, and I never leave home without a lucky charm. Who knows, I may even let you hold onto it for a while if you play your cards right.
After working up an appetite engaging in conversational espionage at the Blue Rider, I’ll make my way over to Magic City Hoagies. Their Hoagie of the Month, the Taco Grinder, is too intriguing to pass up. A hearty helping of seasoned beef, jalapeños, taco chips and more stuffed into a hoagie roll? Now that’s a sandwich fit for a man of distinguished tastes.
There you have it, amigos. A Thursday far too interessante to be nacho average. If you happen to see a lone silhouette sauntering through downtown today, stay thirsty my friends.
