Space: The Final Frontier
Put your seat belts on as we launch to infinity and beyond with our final concert of the season as we travel through our solar system with The Planets by Gustav Holst with an accompanying film that includes images, historical illustrations, animations, and space visualizations from NASA and ESA of the seven featured planets!
Discover the World on the Moon with the overture to Haydn’s opera. We will also perform Maestro Amaya’s Polaris, as well as excerpts from John Williams’ soundtrack from Spielberg’s blockbuster movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Trekkies unite for Star Trek Through the Years, arranged by Calvin Custer.
